A place that feels so close to home with the essence of a far-away destination nestled right on Wisconsin’s Lake Wandawega - AKA, the perfect recipe for Rachel + Chris’s dream weekend destination wedding. Guests arrived on-site Friday to the historic Camp Wandawega for a fun-filled, old-school nostalgic camp experience. Everyone slept in cabins, tents, or the bunkhouse with camp activities from canoeing, swimming, yoga, hiking, archery, a DIY flower crown station, s’mores, and campfires. With its laid-back vibe, the ceremony took place among swaying oak trees in the outdoor chapel, a tented dinner with harvest tables and chairs from A La Crate lined with lanterns, candles, and garden florals from Field + Florist with shimmering lights in the background. Guests feasted on Neopolitan-style pizza from Pizza Brutta at Friday’s rehearsal, breakfast and lunch from food truck - Hidden Kitchen MKE, a pig roast Saturday evening from Stoddard’s Meat Market + Catering, and assorted decadent pies from Bang Bang Pie Shop.
